The
Data Management Handbook, issued in October of 2024, serves as a guiding resource for NOAA data managers, analysts, and scientists, through facilitation of data management practices in alignment with NOAA's role as a leading Federal agency for open data and science. Attendees are invited to a plenary session featuring Assistant Chief Data Officers, where they can engage in discussions and pose inquiries regarding the handbook, its implementation, its utilization, and the officers' broader responsibilities. Speakers include Megan Cromwell (NOS), Courtney Thompson (OMAO), Amy Biggs (OAR), Jessica Morgan (NESDIS), Nori Shoji (NMFS), Maria Sims (NWS), and Joe Fillingham (OCIO/CDO).
