About me
I am an economist, who obtained a PhD in micoreconomic theory and development economics; subsequently I also received a masters in public health. I worked on public health issues in developing countires for more than two decades. During these times among my focus was studying the impact of public policy on the intended beneficiaries. I have worked as an academic in the UK, India and the US. I have also worked for private consulting firms and on projects funded by USAID, UKAID and the Gates Foundations among others. The core principle I bring to NOAA is that evidence gathering regarding implementation and impact of projects must shape policy design.
