About me
I received a B.S. in (Geological) Oceanography from the University of Michigan (while working part time at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory) and an M.S. in (Physical) Marine Science from the University of South Carolina, and then I worked in the Department of Oceanography at Texas A&M University for 10+ years, cruising the Southern Oceans in search of data. Then I worked as an Oceanographer at the NOAA National Oceanographic Data Center and since 2015 I have been the Chief of the Data Operations Branch for the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information.
